Privacy Policy
1. Who is responsible
Fireside Tales, an independent creator project based in Belgium, is the controller for any personal data described here. Contact: fantasy.lore.animation@gmail.com.
2. This website
thefiresidetales.com is a static site. We do not run analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, we set no cookies of our own, and we have no forms or accounts. The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes connection data (such as IP address and request headers) to deliver the pages and to block abuse, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not receive or keep that data beyond Cloudflare's standard aggregate dashboards.
3. Fireside Pipeline
Fireside Pipeline is our private tool for scheduling and publishing our own videos. It connects, through official APIs and OAuth, to social media accounts that belong to Fireside Tales: our TikTok account, our YouTube channel and our Instagram account.
- What it accesses. Only our own accounts, with the permissions needed to upload and publish videos and to read the performance statistics of our own posts.
- What it stores. The OAuth access and refresh tokens for our own accounts, encrypted at rest on infrastructure we control, plus the metadata of our own posts (titles, descriptions, publish times, links, view counts).
- What it does not do. It has no users other than the Fireside Tales team. It does not collect, store, analyse or share personal data of viewers, followers, commenters or any other third party. It does not read private messages. It does not sell or transfer data to anyone.
- Retention. Tokens are kept until we revoke the connection or the platform expires them. Post metadata is kept for as long as the channel exists, for our own records.
4. Platforms we publish to
When you watch or interact with our content on YouTube, TikTok or Instagram, that platform processes your data under its own privacy policy. We see only the aggregate statistics each platform shows every creator, such as view counts and audience demographics in ranges. We cannot identify individual viewers from them.
5. Email
If you email us, we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to answer you and to keep a record of the exchange, and we do not add you to any mailing list.
6. Legal basis and your rights
Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies, our legal basis for the processing above is our legitimate interest in running and publishing the channel and in answering correspondence. You have the right to access, correct or erase personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority or your local authority. Write to the address above to exercise these rights.
7. Children
This website and Fireside Pipeline are not directed at children and collect no data from anyone, children included.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top changes when we do.
